What you’ll learn:

Over 12 months we’ll take you through the nuts and bolts of setting up your systems, processes, organisational structure, learning programs, career paths, onboarding and offboarding, effective recruiting, employee value proposition, salary benchmarking and everything you need to know to stay out of Fair Work Australia.

You’ll get access to our templates and support to customise them to your environment. We’ll talk about when to hire into your senior team (including a Head of People) and how to improve your chances of successful hires.

Alongside these practical steps, you’ll learn the psychology behind culture and leadership, develop your own leadership skills, and get to avoid the mistakes that most scaling founders make.

Your instructor:

Charlie Simson is an expert in developing start-up culture. Having worked in both internal Head of People roles, and as a consultant for startups in Australia, the UK and Canada, Charlie has seen it all. What goes wrong, how to fix it, and better yet - how to avoid problems in the first place. Her background in Positive Psychology means everything she does is steeped in the science of how people thrive. Charlie is one of the few practitioners who can debate the merits of the science (including the replication crisis) and get into the details of how things play out on the ground.
