An Employee Value Proposition (EVP) does two main things: it attracts great talent, and it helps your current staff articulate what’s great about working at your company… which attracts more great talent. An EVP also helps people accurately predict what it will be like to work for you, which means they can self-select out if it’s not for them, increasing the quality of your talent pool. When someone is hired, an EVP can help increase their commitment to the company, and as they settle in it enables them to become an effective advocate for your organisation when they’re out at the pub with their mates.
